Preparing Student Today for Jobs of Tomorrow

Premier Kathleen Wynne Giving Our Kids The Tools They Need To Succeed

Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Premier Kathleen Wynne joined Sault Ste. Marie Liberal candidate David Orazietti at Holy Cross Catholic School in Sault Ste. Marie today to announce that Liberals will prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow by investing $150 million in a three-year Technology and Learning Fund.

Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals also recognize that students today are entering a world that is more technologically-driven than ever before and technology is changing the way students learn and the way educators teach. That is why Ontario Liberals will help prepare students for success in an interconnected, globalized economy by creating the three-year fund, which will be used to:

  • Purchase tablets, software, cameras and learning resources for teachers and students.
  • Support professional development to help teachers integrate the latest technology in the classroom.
  • Help schools share innovative teaching approaches across school boards.
